Payment

The oto-neurology clinic is not contracted with any third-party insurers and consequently welcomes all new patients regardless of their ability to pay privately, age or insurance status. This simple private-pay model allows the patient to spend more quality time with the physician and play a more direct role in the decision making process. Insurance can help pay for numerous diagnostics and therapeutics thus minimizing out of pocket costs. Special arrangements can be made for those in need. Response to the model has been overwhelmingly positive since its inception.

The clinic's doors are open to all those in need. Practice model is private pay/cash clinic/patient-doctor direct/ fee-for-service for all just like business was conducted in the good old days. I am not contracted with Medicare, Medicaid or any other third-party insurance companies, however, these entities will be able to pay for most or all of my ancillary oto-neurological workup with the exception of my consultation time at the roundtable. Payment in full at time of service via cash, check, Visa, Mastercard is the order of business. Special arrangements such as significant discounts, payment plans, payment in kind, or charity care are offered to those in financial need. House calls will be made when absolutely indicated.

Documentation is provided to each patient for optional submission to private insurance or secondaries for out-of-network consideration and reimbursement. Patients can be reimbursed for the visit once out of network deductibles have been met. Moreover, insurance companies and Medicare will likely pay for additional costly medical workup and therapy upon my order. Patients may request assistance from their primary physicians or other referring physician for pre-certification at the in-network level for out-of-network subspeciality services by an oto-neurologist.

U.S. Veterans of the Armed Forces can visit the clinic utilizing the 'VA fee basis' medical care option after first arranging to see any Arizona VA staff neurologist or otolaryngologist. Please call with any additional questions, comments or concerns.

Philosophy
